Junior Golf Lessons |

Starting Sat May 19, 2012 our Annual Junior Golf Clinics will commence. Three age categories at three time slots. Runs for 6 weeks.
Clubs are supplied if needed and a good selection of kids clubs are available for purchase in our pro shop.
9:00 - Ages 4-7
10:00 - Ages 8-11
11:00 - Ages 12-16
Each Saturday lesson is 45 minutes long with the last week being our on course play beginning at 2pm followed by a barbeque for all the participants.
Cost - $75.00 + HST

Junior Plus Camp
Advanced camp for Kids 12-16 who have played golf on a regular basis and can mange 18 holes of golf 5 days in a row. The participants will spend two hours daily working on the range and around the putting green honing their swing and short game fundamentals. During the half hour break for lunch our instructors will go over golf etiquette and rules of golf before teeing off for 18 holes of golf at 12:30. The kids will learn different formats of play including stroke play, Match Play, best ball and alternate shot team play.
Our Chef, Denis Routhier provides daily lunch specials at a reasonable prices or you may bring your own lunch.
This program is designed for kids that have had at least a years' worth of playing experience and that can manage to walk 18 holes daily....alot of the daily play is based on team play very much like the Ryder Cup, so it is important for ALL players to finish 18 holes everyday.
Cost for the 1 week session is $160.00 + HST and is limited to the first 24 registered Players.
Girls Only Clinics
Starting Monday, May 28th at 4pm, we will be hosting a girls only series of lessons and 5 hole play for 5 weeks. Jason McGrath, CPGA Associate Professional, will go through basic swing and short game fundamentals for 1/2 hour prior to 5 holes of play for the girls. The series is designed to get the girls establishing some fellowship amoungst themselves so that they are inspired to come and play more golf as well as improve.
Cost for this series is $60.00 +HST.

Mizuno Fitting Sessions
On Sunday, June 10th, we will be hosting an individual one on one fitting day for anyone interested in getting fitted for clubs. You must book a half hour appointment through the pro shop for that day between 11am and 3pm. Technicians from Mizuno will be here with Trackman to make sure that the set of clubs you order meet your needs and skill. Paul & Jason’s Tips
Jack Nicklaus had a lifelong teacher that he would contact every year at the start of a new season. He would say to him, “Jack (Grout), I want you to think of me as a brand new golfer.” With that said, the two of them would go through all the fundamentals of the start position. Grip, alignment, stance, posture and balance as well as proper ball position. Every golfer develops faults in their golf swings over the course of the season, but by starting off the year with a refresher on the basics, players can be more in tune with what their fault tendencies are and stay on top of them. So, if Jack did it, shouldn’t we all follow his example and get off on the right foot for the upcoming season. Give us a call and book a session to get you off on the correct path this year. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Your swing may feel a little out of kilter at the start of the season but generally we hit our full swing shots not much different then at the end of the previous year. What most of us lack is the feel of the shorter finesse shots…..so we should try to focus more on redeveloping that feel so as not to affect our scoring too drastically.
May and June is a perfect time to get your clubs re-gripped…..can’t afford new clubs? New grips will make your clubs feel like new! We have a wide variety to choose from at good prices….. We can usually have them back in your bag by the next day. If you are thinking of new clubs, please don’t rush out and buy the first thing you see or hear about from all the marketing out there. Spending your hard earned money on equipment that is likely not suited to you is not what we recommend. Properly fitted clubs and set make up are crucial to better golf….Jason and I have been educated and trained in the proper fitting of clubs by all the major brands and have kept up this training by attending yearly sessions in the spring and fall. We do not charge for this service and will gladly accommodate any member that wishes to be fitted.
