The Dow Open begins on the first Monday in May and runs through September with a closing 18-hole tournament on the last Monday in September. Weekly participation is encouraged but not required. However, in order to qualify for the Closing, Bombay style tournament, members must play on at least five occasions. This event provides an ideal opportunity to meet other members, socialize, set up tee times for the rest of the week and have some friendly competition.

A draw for two-man teams is held weekly. Teams (usually the top 4) are declared winners based on the total points scored using a modified Stableford scoring system (net). Other prizes include closest to the pin on the 18th hole and a 50/50 draw. All prizes are given out the day of.
